Homeschool

Our homeschool sessions are run during the day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They are a chance for home educated children to connect, learn and play in nature.

The longer sessions allow children to get stuck in to activities they love. The child-led Forest School ethos ensures that they can follow their passions, explore, play and become deeply connected with nature.

Acitivites include bushcraft skills, fire making, foraging, cooking, den-building, tracking, nature arts and crafts, games, obstacle courses, storytelling, theatre, and plenty of free play and relaxation.

As a nature-based mentoring programme, the heart of the sessions connect participants to the land, each other, and to a supportive natural community. Our participants develop strong naturalist skills, wilderness awareness, earth living skills, creative thinking and problem solving skills. Forest School sessions foster creativity, confidence building, self-expression, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Homeschool Forest School is for children aged 5 to 12, although they are welcome to stay beyond 12!
