PROGRAMMES

3 trees provides outdoor adventures including bushcraft skills, fire making and cooking, den-building, tracking, nature-art, clay creations, forest-free-play, games, rope swings/bridges, storytelling and drama.  Our programmes follow the natural cycle of the seasons and each programme is planned to suit the developmental stage and interests of individual children within a nurturing environment.

As nature-based mentoring programmes, the heart of the sessions connect kids to nature, each other, and to a supportive natural community. Children develop strong naturalist skills, wilderness awareness, earth living skills, creative thinking, gaining inspiration from the land. Forest School sessions foster children's holistic development encouraging creativity, awareness, confidence building, gross and fine motor skills, self-expression, curiosity, resilience, and stewardship of the land.

3 trees Forest School programmes run throughout the year for children aged from 5 to 16, at various sites in the North Wicklow area. Our Birch, Hawthorn, Rowan and Oak programmes are aimed towards home educated children, as they take place during the week, however we are open to anyone who wants to join us.

Programmes are run by Marc Barker and Amber Godwin, both fully qualified and experienced Forest School leaders with REC2 outdoor first aid.
